General and Special Visitors: appointments and re-appointments

The Office of the Public Guardian has formally announced the appointment of 21 new Court of Protection general visitors and 18 new special visitors.

General Visitors
The OPG's general visitors support their work supervising court appointed deputies and conducting mental capacity assessments. The appoimntes are for 10 years and tenure started in February 2024. The new general visitors are:

• Julie Cummins
• Katherine Lees

Four general visitors were also re-appointed in February 2024 for a further tenure of 10 years. They are:

Special Visitors
Special visitors the support OPG and the Court of Protection  with mental capacity assessments. The special visitor appointments are also for 10 years from the start of their tenure in September 2024. The new special visitors are:
