Law Society DoLS guidance updated

The Law Society has updated its guidance on deprivation of liberty safeguards.

As explained on their site, they had been waiting for the new Codes of Practice but the indefinite postponement of the  Liberty Protection Safeguards regime means new Codes are unlikely so they have issued an update to cover important developments, including clarification of the position of:

• those under 18
• those in receipt of life-sustaining medical treatment
